Lots more updates!!!

Okay so first order of business! Ummmm……. Oh, yeah, Fred the Hermit Crab, changed into a green shell! (Silly him) 💡 and Clara has a Comment-a-thon that I think you other bloggers should participate in!

Next order of business!

I was looking in my Bible this morning and came across some really cool verses that I wanted to share with you guys.

John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Isn’t that comforting!

John 15:14 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

We all love the people in our lives, friends, family, but do we love them deeply enough to do this for them?

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Your friend is walking to the park with you. Your friend didn’t look before he or she crossed the road. You yell at your friend, but he or she doesn’t hear you. Your friend stops in the middle of the road paralyzed in fear. Would you run out and push your friend out of the way, even if it meant you may lose your life?

Please be upfront with me, don’t be afraid to comment, it is a deep question, think about it.

Yes it is a deep question, but God loved us So much that he died a horrible awful  death for us, because he loved us so much!!! Isn’t THAT amazing!

Here is a verse that I memorized:

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you; that you also love one another.

Isn’t that cool?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

XD

What’s New?

Sorry I haven’t posted for a while. I’ve been so caught up in things lately I haven’t had a chance to post. Well here I am now!

Every thing new!

I now have another member of the animal family to add to the cuddly critters blog! It’s red and white, it has hooves, it has a pink nose, and it drinks a bottle and eats grain, what is it? It’s a calf!  Her name is Mia, (My-ah) She is a Jersey/Hereford cross, and she LOVES her bottle, as you can see down below! 🙂 She is a sweetheart too. She’s my calf, I am going to raise her until she is about 300 pounds and then sell her. I’m really enjoying having a calf. She has kind of an amazing story too. Every morning at 4:00 Mom and Dad get up, fill buckets with hot water, get our milk machine and the buckets in a cart, pull them up to the barn and milk our cows. One of these freezing cold mornings, Thursday, February 12th, before milking, my dad found a calf outside of the barn, lying on the ground, sopping wet, motionless. He picked her up, thinking she was gone and then he put his thumb in her mouth and felt that her tongue was still warm, so he knew that there was still hope. He carried her into the barn and set her down in some hay, then covered her up in it. Then he went back to milking. My mom suggested that he just put her in the tack room (The place where we keep oats and food for our cows) since there was a heater in there. So he went in the tack  room and made a little pen in the corner with hay in it. Then he went and scooped her up and carried her into the tack room and set her in the hay, and she moved. Then him and mom got lots of hot towels and blankets and rubbed her until she was dry, then since her momma wouldn’t take her they had to tube feed her because she was so weak. They got some milk in her and got a blanket. Then mom and dad warmed up the blanket on the heater and then put it on top of her to keep her warmer. Then they got down to the house and it was already so late that they had to stay awake.  All while me and my sisters were sleeping. Then I bought her and now she is in a big pen with another new calf, called Tid-bit, and is very healthy.

I also got a camera! It is a AW-120 blue, Nikon Coolpix. And it’s waterproof, shockproof and freeze proof! (perfect for me!) All the pictures you see on this page or any new pictures you see from now on are probably taken from my camera.

Crabs:

Bad news, interesting news and good news… bad news first. Derf (the crab of mine that molted in previous post) died. 😦 Good news! Hermy changed shells and Crabby molted! (this time I left him ALONE!) Interesting news: I think Hermy is getting ready to molt too. He has been getting up during the day, (crabs are nocturnal) to drink water out of his water sponge. In fact, he’s probably molting right now! Let me go check… nope! He did change spots from last night though. Fred is fine still in his orange shell. Hermy changed into Derf’s shell, shortly after/before (I don’t know which one) Derf died. Crabby is still as fiery as ever.

Dogs:

Aggie is doing great and loves to “load up”(jump) on her Dog house. All the other dogs are doing great too! Here is a recent picture of her while she was going on a walk with me.

Sorry it’s so blurry.

Fish:

Sammie, Mark, Cutie and Chubster are doing great. Cutie and Chubster tried to have babies again. and I cleaned the fish tank recently too! It looks nice and clean now!

Horses:

Gadget is doing wonderful! We’ve worked with him at least four times since my last post. Daddy rode him a few times too! He did pretty good. I also got pictures of him.

See the gray horse behind him? That's Legend!

Talk to you later,

God Works in Mysterious Ways

Lately I’ve been struggling with some hard things. One is that I figured out some of my good friends are moving away. 😦 And it didn’t help that I had a dead crab. Yeah, Derf. I always thought that he should be more out going. I finally decided that ” the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”  So I gave it over to the Lord.

Kind of off track here, but for you who haven’t seen my comment to Aeryn about what my “religious” knowings are, you’re about to hear them. What version do I read? King James Version. John 3:16 and Romans say all the rest. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” That’s it. God sent Jesus (his only son) to die for us on the cross. He shed his blood for us. Jesus was sinless, he never did anything wrong… at all! We don’t deserve what he gave us when he died on the cross. Then three days later he rose from the dead and then went to be with God again in heaven.  Romans 10:13 says “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Ask God to come into your life and your heart and turn your sins and all the wrong you’ve done over to him and he will take away your burdens and put his righteousness upon you! God loves you! He created you. Would you make something you didn’t like? God said he cares for every sparrow that falls. Feel free to invite Jesus Christ into your life. Just tell him that you believe he died for you and that you would really like him to come into your life. Then turn your life around and witness to other people and tell them about God. If you have more questions leave a comment below.

Okay, back to the first topic. So I gave it to the Lord. Well I had been doing tons of research for this Crab. It looked nasty! 😦 I thought it COULD have been molting but I knew that I was just hoping. I had REALLY lost hope because ALL the websites said the same thing: LEAVE THEM ALONE! Today when I went out to do my dog chores I was going to dig a hole to bury it in. (Did I mention it stunk?) I forgot to dig the hole, but by then I decided that I was definitely going to bury it. I went inside to feed my fish and turn on their light. I went over to turn on the crabs’ light too. The night before I had been trying to get the body into the box, and out of the shell. I didn’t want to see him… AT ALL!!! Well, dad said he wanted to see the bucket (that I had put him in). So I handed it over. He said that it was gone, wasn’t in the shell. Then I heard something wonderful:”this is the exoskeleton.” I couldn’t believe it! It looked EXACTLY like a crab! All the legs, the head! But when dad tipped the shell back there, tucked inside was a new light brown crab! I think when it saw something dark ahead of it, it just finished pushing the exo into the box, or as we were calling it the crab-casket.

This is the actual exoskeleton!

So now I have a new looking crab! So for you that have hermit crabs, DON’T JUST BURY THEM!!! I would say that you should try to get like a small box or something dark inside and if they are kind of hanging out of their shell, just try to get them in a little bit. Please feel free to leave comments below. I will try to answer! My blog kept saying that my password was wrong and wouldn’t let me in, but when this happened I just HAD to write a new post! 🙂 So God really DOES work in mysterious ways. Go to God in prayer.

Sincerely,

K.A.
