First day of School!

It’s the first day of school. Yay.  *tries to sound enthused.* WHOO HOO!!!

I’m actually quite excited that school has started! I really don’t mind it as much as I used to! (although I still have a thing against subtraction..does anyone else not like subtraction? *raises hand.* *raises other hand* )

So, my first day went kind of like this. (btw, I hope I can do ALL of my school days like this, it worked out AWESOMELY!)

I woke up, and for once I was wide awake! That hardly every happens for me! XD 😉 haha! That was at about 8ish… Or 8:10. (also, I hardly ever wake up this early and actually get up!) I got up and did my hair, got dressed bla bla bla all the boring stuff. 😉 haha! Then I went outside and did chicken chores and pig chores. After that I decided that a walk to the mailbox sounded refreshing, so I let out two of our dogs (Berny and Flare) and we went on a walk! It was still really wet out (dewy) and Flare kept running through the tall grass with her nose down in it and then would come back onto the road soaked. Then she’d shake all the water off, and run back on the side of the road and do the same thing again in the tall wet grass. It was very entertaining!

Then I went inside and did my fish, ate breakfast, and read my bible. I read Genesis one, because I just started a three year bible reading plan (YAY! IF IT WORKS THREE YEARS FROM TODAY I WILL HAVE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH MY BIBLE I”M SO HAPPY), and this week I’m supposed to read Genesis 1-6 and Matthew 1 and 2. 🙂 Also, my mom got me a brand new HUGE HUGE STUDY BIBLE! AHHH!! I love it SO much! it’s really super duper neat!!! And very very explanatory in the “narrating” notes!

Anyways, so then after that I did my history (starting to memorize the preamble of the constitution of the united states…whoohoo! 😐 XD) and spelling. And then for Grammar and creative writing, I’m doing an persuasive essay. I’m doing it on: Why my parents should let me get a reptile/lizard. (not sure which yet) If it’s good enough, I might post it on my blog. 😉 Not sure which blog though.. anyways, I looked up two articles online on how to write a persuasive essay, and they were very good! If you want to check them out – you really should- here are the two I did! HERE and HERE.

After that I did my Pre-Algebrae, which for this week is dividing positive and negative numbers. Fun, fun! 😉 It’s not that bad actually, so far (lesson 4 XD) I kind of like it! I know, I know, it will get worse. XD 😉 But for now, I’m trying to tell myself that I’m going to love the entire book.. 😉 Then my friend called me and we talked on the phone for a while- which was so much fun- about random stuff. I’m going to be watching her kitten (I’m really surprised dad’s letting me! I’m hoping I can show him how great they are! XD) and her dog for the next week, starting Wednesday! I’m really excited!!

YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! I love little kittens! I’ve never had one before, (not inside :O ) so this will be different! haha! 😉 But I’m still excited.. 😉 I’m hoping it won’t distract me from school too much. 😉

I think that’s all my subjects I’ve started so far… I can’t start my real Grammar yet because it needs stuff printed out for it and our printer won’t work … :/ Soo, I have to wait until we get a new printer or go to the library or something. (why do I sound sad about that? LET’S CELEBRATE NO GRAMMAR YET! Except my essay counts for that now.. that’s why it does, btw. 😉 ) And then my science doesn’t start yet cause we don’t have the book, but it’s General science now, and I’ll be starting it for real when our September Homeschool Co-op starts! 😉 Anyways, I think that’s about it though! I’ll be surprised if anyone reads this ramble, but there you go! 😉 I hope you all are getting along alright with your schoolbooks lately. 😉 Haha! Anyways, thanks for reading if you did!

What have you all been up to lately? How’s your school going? What subject do you enjoy/tolerate the most?

Talk to me in the comments! 🙂 I want to know how you all are doing! I love talking to you, and I miss it! Now with school starting, I’ll probably be on here even less than normal, but I want to take advantage of the little times I have to talk to you guys!

BTW, I’m still planning to do that animal update sometime when I get out and take pictures of our animals! 😉 Actually.. I think I might go do that now! Bye guys!

I hope you all have a blessed day and week!

  1. Ooh, nice! I liked reading about your first day. Sadly we have to wake up more like 7:30 during school. 😦 😛
Wow, your mail comes that early? Or were you not getting the mail? XD
That great about your study Bible! I’d like to get one sometime but they’re kinda expensive, and I’d have to buy my own. I should have asked for one for my birthday! Oh well, there’s always Christmas. And I often use Allison’s when I want to know more about something. I’m trying to read all of the bible this year. I don’t know how far along I am because I just pick which ever book I’d like to read next when I get done with one. Right now I’m reading 1-3 chapters of Luke and 1-2 chapters of Psalms every night.
Math and Grammar are my least favorite subjects… And I’m not sure which my most tolerated one is. Shakespeare sounds alright I guess. 🙂
I was going to start school on Wednesday but…
I GET TO GO TO A NATIONALS GAME! YAAAY!

    • Thanks! Oh dear… yeah… goodness. No, I wasn’t getting the mail! XD Haha!! 😉 It comes at like… 11, 0r 12. I actually sometimes was there in time to get the mail, bu usually someone else had already gotten it. 😦 😉 hehe!
Yeah!! The thing is (it’s kinda cool, but kinda sad) they were on sale for really good price (yay) but it was because the christian bookstore was closing.(Aw man!)Soo… good, and sad. But mom got it for me and I lOVE it! 😉 Haha! Yeah… You should ask for one at Christmas! 😉 That’s cool!!! Yay! That’s neat! Wow… I don’t think I could get it done in one year!!! Haha! I just can’t soak up that much information as easily as I could over 3 years so I’m going for longer! 😉 Haha! 😀 Haha!!
WHAT!??? OH MY GOODNESS YAAAAY FOR YOU!!! THAT”S GREAT!!!!!!!!!! OOOOOHHH MY! HAVE FUN! Is it on Wednesday? Oh wait…today is wednesday… XD haha! 😉 BTW, (even though I left you a comment) HAPPY BIRTHDAY LATE! Sorry I didn’t tell you yesterday. I hope it was GREAT!

      • Okay! XD Ours comes at four or five. 😛 (PM)
Oh, was it Family Christian Bookstore? Ours closed down here too. That’s where Allison got her study bible. But it’s great that you could get it for a good price! 🙂 Yeah, that makes sense. After this year I’m going to go a little slower. 😉
YEAH IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN! And they WON! 4-0! And their pitcher hit a home run which was really amazing because pitchers hardly ever hit homeruns! And two players that hadn’t been playing for a while came back and I got to see them both play. 😀 Sadly my favorite player didn’t play, but I was still very happy that I got to go.
THANKS! (It’s fine! I know how it happens. ;)) It was great!

        • WHOAH!? Really…??? Four or five? That’s … really late. 😦
Nope, it was a locally owned book store. It’s the only one around I think, because some of our ‘friends’ (acquaintances) owned it.
Oh.. that’s sad. 😉 Yeah, it was pretty cool that I got it cheaper than usual! 😉
NICE!!!! Wow!! That’s pretty cool! 😉 That’s neat, but that’s kind of sad.. :/ 😉 Haha! did you get to go and like talk to them or anything? Or do they never do that..>??
          Hehe! I”M SO GLAD!

  2. Yay! Glad your first day of school went well. 😀 I still have school for around 3 and a half months and then I have Summer holidays and then school again! I’m actually excited to be able to start school again so I can get more organized. 😉 And plus, I’m doing a new Science curriculum! Yay! I get to do biology! 😀 (i might get to dissect a frog; YES and EW 😛 ) I hate math and grammar though. :/ Grammar because I know I’m good at it, but when I have to answer questions about adjectives and the lot, then I’m bad at it. XD

I’m not even doing pre-algebra yet though (well I did a little on YouTube), because I’m a little behind. I started a new curriculum with Saxon Math and the pre-algebra was a little too hard so yeah…. 😦

And YES! I hate subtraction as well!!

I think I’ve only written two essays in my life. XD They were for an essay class that I did. It was really good!!

Also, I have a post in a draft that I’m gonna post in two days, it’s the Back To School tag, and I’ve tagged you for it, but looks like you’ve already summed most of the things up in this awesome post. 😉 But if you could still do it, that would be awesome!

Wow, this was a long comment. 😛

    • That’s alright! i like long comments! I’m usually the one to leave them, so it’s good to get one! 🙂 🙂 Oh nice… wow. 😉 haha! I am too! I really enjoy school quite a bit! 🙂 At least so far! 😉 Oh fun! Biology! I went to my sister’s biology labs and got to watch her dissect a frog, a worm, a crayfish, and … I don’t remember what else! Her frog was super cool, because it had a mouse in it’s stomach! Yeah, you probably didn’t want to know that. XD Haha! 😉 I haven’t done biology yet.. I think I’m doing that next year! 😉 Haha!
      Yeah, I get that!!
Yeah, I get that too!! haha! My curriculum explains things really good thankfully! My friend does rod and staff and it sounds SO HARD compared to mine! I do Math U See. It’s nice! 😉
Haha! Subtraction-hating buddies! 😉 *high five* XD 😉
Yeah…. That’s cool! We had a speech class and then an intensive writing class at
Co-op, so I did quite a bit of writing and reading in front of peers. :O 😉
Nice! Thanks!!! I can do it anyways! 🙂
Haha! I liked this comment! Thanks so much! I would make this longer, but I have to go! I really enjoyed reading this! THANKS SO MUCH!!! 😉
Dios te Bendiga! 😉 Isn’t it fun?? ;P

  3. I’m glad you’re enjoying school so far! I haven’t started yet, and to be honest, I’m a little intimidated about all I have to do. I’m sure it won’t to hard for me to do, I just feel like I won’t be able to get it all done and still have time to write. (I mean, I’m doing Pre-Calculus for math… how scary does that sound?) Before school starts, though, (which is after Labor Day) I will be writing as much as possible. 😉

P.S. I did read all your ‘ramblings’. It was very interesting! 😀

  4. Yay, I’m so glad your first day went well! 😀 This post was fun to read. Somehow you always think your own life is boring, but it’s interesting for other people to read about – that’s how it works with me, anyway. 😉 I’m sort of starting school (just a few subjects) on Wednesday, I think, so we’ll see how that goes. O.o I’m actually excited for school because IT’S MY LAST YEAR HELP OH MY GOODNESS THAT’S SO STRANGE. SO strange. Anyway, I’m most looking forward to Advanced Biology (human anatomy) and literature, probably, although I’m looking forward to most of my subjects except maybe Writing/Language Arts and Chemistry. :/

  5. Sounds fun! We haven’t started school yet, because we have to go with my older brother when he goes to college for a few days so it would be an interruption. 😉 I’m fine with subtraction, but it fractions that I hate. :/. I

    • Yeah it was actually! 😉 Oh, nice! 😉 That makes sense… My older sister’s college already started! She’s going to college there and also teaching there… 😉 haha!
Ahh.. I don’t actually mind fractions that much! 😉 XD haha! The world needs people who like and dislike different things in math, I suppose! 😉 Thanks for the comment!

      • Haha, that founds fun! Hehe! XD. You’re welcome! I always forget about fractions, AKA how to convert them and stuff, so I have to learn them all over again. XD. What grade are you in?

        Liked by 1 person

        • Yeah!! 😉 Yeah, I get that… I sometimes do that with other math things- such as like division and I’m like..uhhh.how do I do this? XD And then I remember and I’m like “oh yeah, duh…” 😉 I’m in 8th grade! I just went into eighth!
