When things get rough…

Okay…so I’ve been feeling sad lately. And I want to explain something…if that’s what you want to call it…explaining..I think I’m partly doing it for myself rather than you. Here it goes though. *Takes a deep breath*

If you’re feeling sad…lonely. Hmmm…I’m really not sure how to start this post!! Here:

I haven’t been feeling so happy lately. I keep getting a constant reminder of some friends that moved thousands of miles away…some that I’m not sure if I’ll ever see again. I miss them a lot. But I know of the thing, the only thing, that can fill up that emptiness: God. Just God. Sure, friends can help you feel a little better, give you comfort..but God’s the ONLY one who can seal up that wound. It hurts…I know, but God will help you, he is NOT going to let it get the best of you. He loves you, and he’ll carry you through it…all the way!

So if you have that emptiness inside, and you’re longing, grasping for something…turn to God, and tell him. And he’ll take your burdens away. Go lay in your bed. It’s alright to cry when you need to. Read a book, pray, make a list of people to pray for, blog about how God is helping you, take a walk in the rain for petty sake! 😛 But don’t pout, don’t give up. Don’t let Satan get what he wants, don’t let anyone or anything stop you…just LOVE God with all your heart, and let him lead you…and heal you.

Yes…it will still hurt, there may still be a slight trace of a scar…but a scar doesn’t prove that God didn’t care about you, and/or put you in a tough spot, it doesn’t prove that you can’t go any further…it proves that You were hurt, but you made it through, and God helped you get through it…Move on, and let the past be taken away. Like when you’re running a race, and you go past the 20 foot mark…you don’t just stand by it, waiting to lose…or lurk around it, using it as an excuse to stop running the race, you leave it behind, and you keep going, no matter what. The past. Yes I just made that up. 😉

Now I KNOW that it’s hard…and it will most likely still hurt…some. But God will ALWAYS love you, and ALWAYS care about you. He MADE You! He gave you life! He LOVES you. He sent his ONLY begotten Son to DIE for YOU! On the cross! His Son, Jesus, paid for your sins, ALL of them, and DIED, for YOU, on that cross. He loved you, THAT much! Then after Jesus died, he rose again, three days later. He had defeated death. Now, you can ask God to come into your life, and heart. You can ask him to take over, and lead. He’ll ALWAYS be there for you…no matter what.

Psalm 70:4

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Okay…soo…thanks for reading this post…if you’ve gotten this far, without skimming..which is doubtful… XD then congrats! 😛 🙂 😉 Finally, I want to say, that if you’re a Christian now, or have been, then you need to give a good example to others. If someone says that they’re a Christian, but are bossy and mean, and nasty, then not only do they dishonor and disobey God, but they also are giving a bad example to non-Christians. For example, if someone saw a Christian doing that, then he/she would simply think, “Well, if that’s what a Christian is like, then I SURE don’t want to be one of them!” But if they meet a nice, compassionate, caring, loving person, who says they’re a Christian, then they’re going to sense something different, and want that! So be the latter, and be kind, and considerate with your words! 🙂 😀 I hope I didn’t dig TOO deep tonight…but I hope that you also enjoyed this post! 😉 I thought it would be a good one! 😉 I have 694 words, so I’d better stop once I get to…oh wait, I just got to 700! XD Okay, then I’ll just stop when I get about to 750! 😉 😛 One more thing:

I wanted to tell you about something I did the other night:

I was in bed, waiting for daddy…and being the book reader I am, I picked up my book…you might think ‘so what, she decided to read!’, but you need to know, that it was 11:20 ish!! YES, at NIGHT!!!! XD 😛 Sooo…I read, until… are you ready… 12:00!! XD Midnight! XD 😛 sooo….ya, now you know a tad bit more about me that you might have not known! Haha! 😉 BTW, sorry for posting twice in one day!

~K.A~

P.S. whoops!  I’m at 821 words! XD Not just 750! So much for stopping at 750! 😛 Oh well…I’ll  make it 850 words now! 😀

  3. Oh, K.A., that was wonderful!! I can definitely relate to that as I too recently had some friends move thousands of miles away. 😦 But you are most definitely right! Though it may still hurt from time to time, God loves me, He always will, and He alone can fill that space in my heart. It is through his unending grace and love that I am healed!! 😁 You are such a wonderful example of a genuine, loving, compassionate Christian! I can see that God is using you greatly. You keep posting, girl! ❤

  4. I totally have been there. I have a friend who was more like a sister to me than anything, despite the fact that she is three years older than I. It was extremely hard on me when she moved. And whenever I felt sad about something, knowing that my bestie was in a different state made the hurt even worse. But, gradually, with God’s help, I was able to find peace and He sent me several more friends! They don’t replace the one that moved away, but they still mean so much to me and now I still have friends here to laugh and hang out with. And of course, my friend and I stay in touch, and I have been able to visit her a couple of times, so that helped also. 🙂
So…I think it’s awesome that you can write a post like this when you’re going through it currently. 🙂 I really admire that. I’ll be praying for you, and I know that you will be an overcomer in this situation! 😀

  5. You’re right: We DO need god’s love! We Do need to be good Christians, and follow God’s teaching. This was a really great post.
This post actually helped me a lot. 8 years ago, when I was 3, I moved 500 miles away from my best friend. It hurt a lot, that I couldn’t see her any more, so I get what you’re feeling.

  6. This was a great, encouraging post, K. A. 🙂 That is a great point about Christians needing to be a good example. If you say you are a Christian but don’t live what you believe, people won’t be likely to think Christianity is a good thing. Very true! I’m so sorry about your friends moving away, but I’m glad you can count on God to be your best friend. 🙂 ♥

    • Thanks, Allison! 🙂 Ya…that’s true!!! 😉 🙂 Thanks, but I’m alright! It happened a long time ago…and I’ve just recently been thinking about it again. I think maybe it was cause God wanted me to encourage others with that post! Maybe that’s why I was remembering it…I bet so. 🙂 God is AMAZING!!! 😀 Yes! me TOO!!! Thank you so much for this amazing comment, Allison!!!

  7. You are really good at doing these kinds of posts, K.A! 🙂 I hope this helps a lot of people!!
I’m so sorry about your friends moving away. 😦 That would have been so, so sad. 😦 But we have God, and God is good. Just think about if we weren’t Christians, we wouldn’t have God to pray to or to lean on. I’m so glad that I’m a Christian. 🙂 I’m praying that your scar will get less tender soon. 🙂
” But God will ALWAYS love you, and ALWAYS care about you. He MADE You! He gave you life! ” I love that part. 😀 Ooh, maybe I can make it into a photo quote! 🙂 :O
Wow… yeah, I could read until two o clock probably. XD But we HAVE to get up at about 7 thirty. :/ I mean, come on! We’re HOMESCHOOLED! XD
Again, loved reading this post! It was actually pretty easy to read and you did a great job with it. 🙂

  8. Wonderful post. I know exactly what you mean by feeling sad. Don’t let those negative feelings get to you. So very true….God is the only one who can fill that hole! We all have an emptiness in our hearts that only He can fill. He created us with that hole, with that longing for Him. We need to make sure we are connecting with Him daily so He can fill us with that love, joy, and peace only He can supply to help us get through these rough times. Everyone experiences struggles, but it’s how we handle them that matters. 🙂 I’ve met people who have gone through some pretty awful experiences, but they each have such powerful testimonies of how God brought them through that! We must never lose hope in the dark times, and always remember that we are never alone. 😉 Have you heard “Never Alone” by BarlowGirl? I’ve heard it a lot recently, and it’s an amazing song! The lyrics are very powerful, and the music is beautiful.
Overall, loved this post! So encouraging.

I appreciate it…more than you know! 😉 🙂 I hope one day we will meet…you know, one day we WILL meet! in the presence of God! I’ll walk over and know that your name is Misty, and say: “Hi, Misty! It’s good to finally meet you! I’m K.A” Although, you’ll be able to know my REAL name then! 😉 Thanks again for this great and long comment! 😀 Thanks so much! Yes!
